Overview
Attach to steel without welding.
Beam clamps grip the flange of existing steelwork so hanger rod can drop from structure without welding, drilling, or damaging protective coatings - the attachment method most structural engineers prefer for suspended MEP services. The TEMBO range covers the common patterns: the ductile iron TGBC00 with hardened cup-point set screw and lock nut, standard and box steel clamps that centre the rod under the beam flange with built-in vertical adjustment, purlin clamps for z-purlin roofs, and square-bolt clamps for NPI/NPH profiles.
The TGBC00 complies with MSS SP-58 Types 19 and 23 and Federal Specification A-A-1192A, available threaded or unthreaded in 3/8" and 1/2" (M10 and M12) rod sizes.

The ductile iron TGBC00 complies with MSS SP-58 Types 19 and 23 and with Federal Specification A-A-1192A for both types; WW-H-171-E covers Type 23.
02Ductile iron clamp or steel beam clamp — which pattern should I order?
The ductile iron TGBC00 grips the flange with a hardened cup-point set screw locked by a nut. The standard and box steel patterns (TGCBC0 / TGBBC0) centre the rod under the beam flange and give up to 51 mm of vertical adjustment. Purlin clamps suit z-purlin roofs, and square-bolt clamps suit NPI/NPH profiles.
03What rod sizes does the TGBC00 take, and what are its jaw dimensions?
M10 or M12 in metric, 3/8" or 1/2" in imperial, threaded or unthreaded. The tabulated throat is 19 mm on every size, with a reach of 29 mm for M10 and 3/8" and 31 mm for M12 and 1/2" — check the flange you are clamping against those dimensions.
04Can beam clamps be used where site welding is not allowed?
Yes — that is their main use. The clamp grips existing steelwork without welding or drilling, so the protective coating and fireproofing stay intact. This makes them the usual choice for retrofit works and sprinkler attachments, supplied with the threaded rod and clevis or sprinkler hangers that complete the drop.
