Isolation products selected around the actual equipment schedule.

Vibration control is most effective when the isolator is selected against operating speed, static load, floor stiffness, pipe connection movement, and the acoustic expectation of the building.

Common vibration isolation questions.

A practical guide for contractors selecting spring mounts, pads, inertia bases, and flexible pipe connectors.

01What information is needed to size vibration isolators?

The most useful information is equipment weight, operating RPM, number of mounting points, floor type, pipe connection layout, and any specified deflection or isolation efficiency.

02When should a spring mount be used instead of a neoprene pad?

Spring mounts are normally used for heavier or lower-speed rotating equipment where higher deflection is needed. Neoprene pads are suitable for smaller equipment, higher-speed machines, or slab-on-grade locations with lower isolation demand.

03Do flexible connectors replace proper equipment isolation?

No. Flexible connectors help prevent vibration from transferring into pipework, but the equipment itself still needs suitable mounts, pads, or an inertia base depending on load and RPM.
