Flexible Pipe Connectors

EPDM bellows and stainless braided connectors that absorb vibration, thermal movement, and minor misalignment at pump, chiller, and AHU connections before they reach the pipework.

Absorb movement at the pump.

Pumps move; rigid pipe does not. A flexible connector installed at the suction and discharge absorbs the vibration a pump transmits down the line, accommodates axial movement from thermal expansion, and forgives the small misalignments that appear between equipment and pipework - protecting both the pipe and the building structure from stress.

The TEMBO rubber range uses a neoprene/EPDM bellow reinforced with nylon cord fabric and a pressurized steel wire strand ring: the triangular-flange type (TGTFC0) works to 20 bar with a floating thread design that simplifies bolt alignment, while the union type (TGUFC0) threads directly into smaller lines at up to 17 bar and holds vacuum to 700 mmHg. Both run from -15 C to +115 C on water, compressed air, oil, and weak chemical service.

For higher temperatures and pressures, stainless steel braided pump connectors (TGFMC0) in single and double braid handle the sizes and ratings tabulated in the datasheet. Combined Cooperation is a stocking supplier of both families in Kuwait for chilled water, condenser, and firefighting pump connections — quotations against a BOQ or equipment schedule are typically returned the same working day.

Common questions about flexible pipe connectors.

01Do you supply flexible pipe connectors in Kuwait?

Yes. Combined Cooperation stocks TEMBO EPDM/neoprene rubber connectors and stainless steel braided pump connectors in Kuwait, with delivery across all governorates. Send the sizes or a BOQ through the contact page and a priced offer is typically returned the same working day.

02Rubber bellows or stainless braided — which connector should I use?

Rubber (EPDM/neoprene) connectors are the default for chilled water, condenser, and general pump connections up to 20 bar and +115 °C — they absorb more vibration per unit length. Stainless braided connectors take over at higher temperatures and pressures, on steam and hot-water service, and where the specification calls for metallic construction.

03What sizes and pressure ratings are available?

The triangular-flange rubber type works to 20 bar and the union type to 17 bar with vacuum service to 700 mmHg, in sizes from 3/4 inch upward. Stainless braided connectors cover the sizes and ratings tabulated in the TEMBO datasheet, in single and double braid.

04Where are flexible connectors installed on an HVAC system?

At the suction and discharge of every pump, at chiller and condenser connections, on FCU and AHU coil hook-ups, and at intervals in long chilled-water runs. They absorb equipment vibration, thermal movement, and minor misalignment before those loads reach the pipework and its supports.

05Do flexible connectors replace vibration isolators under the equipment?

No — they work together. The connector stops vibration travelling down the pipe; the equipment itself still needs spring mounts, pads, or an inertia base sized to its load and RPM. Both families are covered on our vibration isolators range.
